I think simplifying the writing system would be such a waste when they've got such pretty characters! I love kanji, I love how they look, I love writing them, they're fun to learn.. Ok, there's like, thousands of them BUT nothing's better than a good challenge, right? Plus there's no hurry, even japanese people didn't learn them in just one or two years!
